Volunteers

Volunteers Are the Heart of Tecate Horse Rescue

Thank you so much.

Volunteers are the backbone of Tecate Horse Rescue enabling us to accomplish everything we do. Whether you can spare a few hours a week or month, we need your help!

Ways Volunteers Help:

  • Daily Care: Feeding, cleaning, grooming, and spending time with the horses to help build their trust in humans.

  • Support Our Horses: Walk a horse, hold one for the vet or farrier, or simply offer a calm presence to frightened equines.

  • Hands-On Projects: Help maintain corrals, build a mare motel, fix hay feeders, or clean water buckets.

  • Events: Planning, setting up, assisting, and breakdown. The events could not happen without the volunteers.

Every hour the volunteers spend with the horses makes a difference. Positive human contact with the horses lets them know humans can be good. Together, we can provide these horses with the care and love they deserve.
