Scout came to us from the Bowie Kill Pen in Bowie Texas. He was slated to be shipped for slaughter. We rescued him and took him directly to the Veterinarian where he was treated for colic, and a significant heart murmur. He remained in quarantine for 10 weeks to be able to gain enough weight to travel. Scout is not rideable due to his age and the calcified front left knee. He is a lovely pasture companion. He receives Previcox once daily. He is up to date on all his vaccines, has been dewormed and has had a dental where we found that while he loves to try to eat alfalfa and teff, he really can't and needs a wet ;mash of senior feed and Timothy alfalfa pellets. These needs; previcox, and wet mash or senior and alfalfa/Timothy pellets, are required for his health. If you are interested in helping Scout find his forever home, please complete an application and we will contact you to arrange for a home visit and interview. Scout's adoption fee is $1000
