Atma and her baby Wilde (pronounced Vilde) were rescued at Bowie Livestock Auction in September 2022 from a direct ship list. the baby Wilde had suffered what appears to be a significant injury to her front left leg. Luckily, after a visit to the vet, the injury was treated, found to be cosmetic and has healed perfectly. They was taken to a nearby rescue ranch to quarantine and gain weight before coming to Tecate Horse Rescue. 10/1/22 - We are still trying to get both to Tecate. 1/3/2023- Atma is now accepting petting on her neck and shoulder. Wilde is still not letting us get close or handle her in any way. 8/1/2023 Atma is accepting her halter.
