We had almost 5 days of sideways rain with winds between 20 and 40 miles per hour.  The temperature was between 32 and 42.  As a result 6 of our most compromised equines suffered from hypothermia. We scrambled to find someplace warm and dry for them to recover.  Apollo ended up in the 4 horse trailer and acted like it was his personal condo, coming in and out as he felt like it. But he was feeling MUCH better and that was important.  
​The other 5 horses ended up near Imperial Beach in the Tijuana River Valley at Eggers Ranch.
We hope to bring them home Tuesday when the night temperatures are above 40 degrees and no rain is expected.
​there is no progress on our building permits.  WE had hoped the architect was submitting this last Friday but didn't happen.  We continue to follow up on this as that is what is keeping us from being able to build our 3000 sf barn that we have already paid for and is laying in our yard.
ON the wonderful side of things we got a beautiful 10x10 shed donated from the McKalson's and Danny, Mariano and Junior got it set up.  It will become our new and only tack shed.  
​All the other horses are doing very well.  I was able to spend some time with quite a few yesterday and make good progress with Pake and Aurora.  
We still urgently need volunteers to help with the horse work; whether it is grooming (we need ALOT of help with that), taking them for a walk or simply handing out with the ones that are still frightened of us.
