Jeffry was part of a group of three colts that had been rescued in Texas.. He had been in quarantine while awaiting transport to Tecate Horse Rescue. Sept 17, 2022, both Jeffry and his brother arrived here at Tecate. Since Jeffry is not halter broke, he enjoys his 24'x24' stall while introduce him to "good" humans. When we gain his trust and can halter him he will be released with one of the herds here at Tecate Horse Rescue. October 1st 2022 - Jeffry is still not halter trained, but probably due to lack of more volunteers needed just to show that some humans are kind. May 2024 - Jeffry has been haltered one time but is considered unhandled for adoption purposes. He is athletic, curious and plays with the other horses.
