Mia was rescued at Bowie Livestock Auction in late August 2022, she was listed as a Dwyer Horse and DJean took one look at her and fell in love. While we normally wait for the last call list and the last minute, it was decided to rescue her right then. Since Mia was relatively healthy, unlike most we rescue, she was transported and arrived on September 17th along with two donkeys and five other horses. Mia will become a permanent member of our family... October 1st 2022 - Mia is still not halter broken and exhibits mistrust for humans. May 2024 - Mia is just beginning handling and halter work. She is curious and gorgeous.
